It has been a long long time since I last blogged (almost 16 months now). The world has changed forever during this time.
From Bear Stearns to Lehmann and ML to AIG to executive compensation ... financial institutions may not remain the same as they were recently (atleast in the short term).
US bailouts, UK's and Europe's woes, China's falling exports, Ruble's devaluation have done enough to make economists think and quants rework their models.
From Pakistan's swat valley to N. Korea's nuclear tests to Iran's elections to Italy PM's troubles to Israel's changing stance towards Palentine, we have witnessed a lot of political activities.
Notable events also included India's 26/11, Air france's plane crash, Sri Lanka's LTTE, bombings in Pakistan and attack on Sri Lankan team, Swine flu etc
I read and followed it all however was lazy enough not to blog my views. Now I intend to start blogging again; and check whether my views and understanding are appreciated by the potential readers :)
